As a Digital Learning Developer, you’ll work with a diverse group of clients and subject matter experts to define requirements, then adapt high-level content into engaging and innovative digital content.
You’ll work alongside a passionate team of creatives to develop industry-leading courses with an ‘agency’ finish. Your primary role is split over 2 key areas of the creative process;
• You will be tasked with devising thoughtful, creative and innovative ways of approaching a subject matter and identify creative ways of using the available tools and various media types to deliver meaningful, story driven pieces of learning content.
• Take scripted content and visual assets and combine them using the best available authoring tools (such as Storyline, Rise, Captivate & Video) to create an engaging, interactive and innovative piece of digital learning content.
We’re looking for a candidate with experience in creating content across a wide range of subjects and for both small and large clients and how this has been done in a creative and engaging learner focussed way. Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and taking steer from designers and animators in how a piece of content should look and perform but also feels comfortable providing challenge to designers where needed if the design compromises the functionality of the produced content. You’ll also need excellent personal time management skills and the ability to recognise any challenges to completing work to agreed timescales.

What to Expect
First up you'll meet Nick our Head of Content and Mike our Script & Content Writer. We'd love you to bring examples of work that you've created/ developed either prior to or during this interview. Next, there will be a short creative thinking task where we'll provide a subject matter and ask you to come up with a creative approach to the topic, once you've returned this to us we'll arrange a follow up call which will be the final stage in the interview process.

Digital Learning Developer
Manchester (2 days/ week) + WFH (3 days/ week)
Circa £35,000 (DOE)
Attend ideation sessions with creative team and feed into client level proposals
Conceive and work with script/content writer on course content, with delivery techniques in mind
Contribute to scoping discussions including cost, deadline and resource availability
Digest project briefs and research diverse subjects to develop creative story driven approaches
Attend storyboarding/wireframe sessions to develop images, graphics and interactions to be used in courses
Work closely with creative department to help bring concepts to completion
Be an expert in using authoring tools to transform raw content into polished, interactive digital training courses with audio/video narratives for use on client LMS and our own digital learning product
Thoroughly test created content across multiple platforms to ensure seamless user experience and functionality
Manage campaign resources and update key stakeholders on milestones
Accurately monitor time committed versus time scoped and
Ensuring the stages of the project are met according to brief, resource and deadline deliverables
Staying up to date with industry trends and striving to innovate beyond these by engaging with the wider digital learning community
At least 2 years’ experience in Instructional Design
Practical knowledge of Storyline 360 and associated LMS standards
Good commercial awareness and an understanding of the need to meet client deadlines
Basic skills in Photo, Video and Audio editing software (Photoshop, Adobe Premiere etc)
Ability to work with project SME's to script basic content and evidence where this has been done
A passion for exploring new ways to create learning experiences using both existing and emerging technologies
