Job Overview
Within the bespoke arm of Huler, we build one of a kind human and learning experiences for clients around the world. As an extension of their teams, we get to understand the challenges they face and what they hope to achieve through our award winning software. Our team of talented developers must be able to tune into the needs of clients and their higher objectives to propose innovative solutions where not all the information is readily available.
As a Senior Developer at Huler, you’ll be building bespoke solutions for our clients. You will work closely with our customer team and PMO office to ensure client projects are delivered on budget and to schedule. You’ll predominantly work with one of our key clients and be accountable for larger, more complex tasks and projects within the development cycle, ensuring code is written with internal coding standards in mind.

Read, understand and offer feedback or improvements user stories
Translate client requirements into solutions
Take ownership for assigned development tasks from build to delivery
Visualise and architect solutions and communicate this to the wider team
Update and maintain developer standards around internal coding standards and best practice
Share technical and system knowledge with other members of the team
Mentor and guide peers via code reviews, dev sessions and paired programming
Address high priority tickets in a timely manner and communicate resolutions with key stakeholders
Responsibly handle, classify and manage all information, whether internal or received from external parties
Work with SRE team to ensure systems are built with security and scalability in mind
Staying up to date with industry trends and striving to innovate beyond these by engaging with the wider development community
At least 5 years’ experience developing scalable web applications
Be familiar with the core principles of software development, version control, CI/CD and TDD
Commercial Experience with MVC PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter)
Experience of JavaScript frameworks (such as Vue, React, Angular)
Good Server Knowledge (with AWS/Google cloud experience)
Database Systems and Design (MySQL)
Knowledge of recent technological trends and developments
Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex environments
Knowledge of Agile project management
Good UX/UI knowledge
