An exciting partnership with Global Charity, AfriKids

Written by

Huler are delighted to welcome AfriKids as their Global Charity Partner. As well as valued partner, Huler has also committed to support AfriKids as one of its chosen charities in 2023. As well as supporting their fundraising efforts, the Huler team will be investing their time, talent and resources across multiple areas of the business to help AfriKids’ achieve their five-year strategic plan.

AfriKids’ vision is a prosperous and thriving world without poverty, where the rights of every child are valued, protected and met by all. Their team of local staff in Ghana design and run their life-changing programmes with a focus on empowering children, putting communities on their feet and working with local authorities and other partners to improve child protection, education and health services in Northern Ghana.

The partnership will also see AfriKids utilising Huler’s flagship product, HulerHub to enhance AfriKids’ employee experience journey, streamline internal communications and provide a consistent digital experience for their staff and volunteers.

AfriKids’ champions a people-first approach that prioritises employee wellbeing, champions inclusivity and is passionate about providing consistent and meaningful digital experiences for their people. HulerHub will help collate and make digital content easily accessible, ensuring compliance with charity regulation, and bringing their talented team of staff and volunteers even closer to the incredible work they do in Ghana. The employee experience platform will also enhance brand messaging and bring together their existing systems, tools and content providing more structure and clarity moving forward.

Suzi Archer, Staff Director at Huler added;

“Huler has always played an active role in supporting the charities and communities that matter to our people. Over the years we’ve donated and fundraised over £24,000 for charities local to our HQ in Stoke-on-Trent as well as supporting national fundraising campaigns such as the Macmillan Coffee Morning. Having spent some time with the AfriKids team and hearing more about the incredible work they do; we’re looking forward to supporting the team and their fundraising efforts in 2023. We have an incredibly talented workforce whose creativity, skills, knowledge and time will also play a part in our charity partnership”.

About AfriKids

AfriKids is an award-winning organisation bringing happier childhoods and brighter futures for some of the world’s poorest children.

They work in northern Ghana where 2 in 3 families live in poverty and 1 in 16 children die before their 5th birthday. Their programmes deliver education, health and child protection so that vulnerable children can be safe, healthy and in school – especially girls, children with disabilities and street children.

Since 2002, they have touched the lives of over one million people, and were the first NGO in Africa to receive a ‘Third Sector Excellence Award’ for accountability and transparency. Their approach is unique: their programmes are 100% designed and delivered by local people, following the simple philosophy of listening to the needs of communities and empowering them to make sustainable changes themselves.  Their remarkable stories are the story of AfriKids.
